Cathedral by David Maculay

This book details the construction of a Gothic cathedral in a made up French Town in the 13th century. The drawings are fabulous and explain the process of building as well as the basic architecture of some of the great cathedrals of Europe.

I also need to mention the movie that was made to accompany this book. I remember especially loving it as a kid.
