A difficult book to get hold of lately, but one that is worth the trouble. A 30 year old holocaust survivor establishes a home for surviving children from eastern Poland. She deals with the children's physical and mental health issues after the war as well as their education. Anti-semitic attacks force them to secretly escape from Poland.
