Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH is a classic novel by Robert C. O'Brien that was continued by Jane L. Conly in Rasco and the Rats of NIMH and R-T Margaret and the Rats of NIMH.
Mrs. Frisby is fighting to save her young son's life. He is too sick to be moved, but their home is about to be ploughed up by the farmer who owns the field. She goes to visit the mysterious rats of NIMH and the wise Nicodemus to help her family.
